Top Ten Tuesday #4

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish

Top Ten Books I Really Want To Read But Don't Own Yet

These books are by no means in order. I really just went with the first books that entered my head. I have to admit I almost did this wrong. I had actually come up with a list of books I wanted to read but HADN'T YET READ. That certainly isn't the topic for this week. Thus I had to start over.

Top Ten Tuesday #3

Top Ten Tuesdays is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, and a weekly meme where we  make a top ten list for the week's topic.

Top Ten Books I've Been Told That I Must Read

 1.
I have discovered this year that I'm not the only person on earth who hadn't read this series yet. I finally started them this year. I'm up to book four. Get off my case already! LOL

 2.
When I came back to Goodreads after a two year absence this book was all over the place. That was probably because the last book had just come out. I read it and Insurgent. Not too sure I'm ever going to read Allegiant.

3.
Rainbow Rowell was all the talk also on Goodreads. I'm so happy I listened to everyone and read her books

4.
See #3

5.
I've seen this book everywhere. There are mixed reviews on it but I've seen more good than bad. I just recently bought it. Yet another series to read.

6.
I finally caved and read Anna and the French Kiss. I can't wait to read the next two books.

7.
I've heard nothing but great things about Colleen Hoover yet I haven't read this book. This was recommended to me by a friend on Goodreads. I immediately bought it.

8.
Damien the green-eyed alien. I've seen his name everywhere. One of the book I'm most anxious to read.

9.
Seen a lot of talk but not really interested in this one no matter how much it comes recommended.

10.
Do I really need to say anything about this book? I'M NEVER GOING TO READ IT!!!!

Do you recommend any books? Tell me about them in the comments.

Top Ten Tuesday #2

The Broke and the Bookish

Book I'm not sure I want to read

1.  Allegiant by Veronica Roth: This book was ruined for me soon after reading Divergent. I took the time to read Insurgent (I wasn't crazy about it). Now knowing what I know I'm not sure if it's worth taking the time to read it when I could be reading a book I really want to read.

2. Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead: I bought the first book earlier this year and I have yet to read it. I've read good things about it. I love vampires but I haven't picked up the book. I'm not sure why though.

3. The Fault In Our Stars by John Green: Thankfully I'm not in this alone. I have seen plenty of people say they are never going to read this book. I hate anything having to do with cancer. My Mother had lung cancer TWICE and lived to tell about it. I'm fortunate I know that. She has since passed away. It is just one of those subjects that is close to my heart and I don't do well with it.

4. The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak: I have seen this book everywhere. People are talking about how awesome it is.

5. Anything by Dan Brown: I saw the movies but I'm just not sure about the books. They are about two of my favorite subjects history and religion. You would think I would be all over these books but no. I have these reservations and don't know why.

6. Anything by Stephen King: Another hugely popular author. I think the reason I get a little taken back by him is the length of  the book I want to read (IT, it's over a 1000 pages). I think that's pretty scary.

7. The Fifth Wave by Rick Yancey- I have it on my TBR shelf yet I'm feeling iffy about it. Once again it's a book with a lot of hype and that scares me. I don't like going with the crowd. Though I have to admit that I was wrong about my fear of Anna and the French Kiss. This could end up being the same.

8. Shatter Me series by Tahereh Mafi- I have nearly picked up this book so many times. I think it's because I have heard mixed reviews about it.

9. Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins- HYPE! Enough said.

10. The Maze Runner by James Dashner- YA books being turned into movies is the in thing right now. I'm kinda over it to be honest. How many of these books I have mentioned are already movies or are about to be one??? All but ONE!

Top Ten Tuesday #1

The topic this week is 'Books I'd Give To Readers Who Have Never Read ' and my choice was Young Adult. Here are my ten choices.

Yes I know there are some obvious choices here. BUT there are some from my teenage years way back in the 90s.

Remember Me by Christopher Pike is a three book in one deal. It was originally released as three separate books. This version is a bind up of all three. This series has stayed with me. It was written so well that I felt almost as if it were real. It's definitely worth a read.

Jack by A.M. Homes is an awesome LGBT book. It came out in 1990 but I read it around 1995. It's about a boy whose parents have divorced and comes to find out that his Father is gay.

Entries from a Hot Pink Notebook is a historical  LGBT fiction. It takes place in the early 80s. It's a diary of a 14 yr old boy who is discovering that he is gay in the Reagan era. I wish I could find this book. I stupidly gave it away. DUMB!!!

Out of these ten books I would have to say that I can't say which one is my absolute favorite. What books would you choose???
